Recommissioning
Since our inception, a large part of our buiness has been the recommissioning of "post classic" and "pre modern" race bikes.
Our 2-stroke projects over the last 2 years have included several NSR500Vs, including the ex-factory TSR AC50M chassis 002 (1999 Haruchika Aoki/2000 Yoshiteru Konishi), and the 2001 Bakker-framed DeeCee Racing machines of Ant West & Barry Veneman.
Our 4-stroke projects incude the RVF750 RC45 HRC 8hr spec "Cup Noodle" endurance racer, raced by ourselves in 2015 and 2016 with Hottrax & No Limits Racing respectively, the fabulous VTR1000 SP-2 RC51 "Cabin Racing" HRC Complete Racer, and Moriwaki Zero-VX7 Suzuka 8hr "Life Warehouse" RC30.
Our next project is a 1997 ElF Tecmas Honda NSR500V of Regis Laconi, and the extremely rare and precious HRC RS860 of Wayne Gardner.
Restoration
We offer a full range of restoration options at Performance Engineering, many carried out in-house.
One of our first restoration projects was an RVF750, restored from the ground up back to OEM specification. Using the RC45 as a test bed for many of our current services, we now offer zinc plating in 3 different colours (gold, silver & green), anodising in a wide range of colours, engine casing refinishing, powder coating, and vapour blasting.
With our partner companies, we also offer specialist magnesium wheel refurbishment and crankcase restoration.
